TWAM collect used (and new) tools that they refurbish / pack into "Tradesman's kits" and then send out to developing counties for use by locals to help them build a trade to support their families / village.
This gives them independence and freedom from aid dependency which gives them back their pride.
With the help of Stocks, 114-118 Cromwell Road, Whitstable, CT5 1NH (on junction of Cromwell Road and Station Road by mini roundabout) we collected tools for TWAM and would like to say thank you to everyone who supported us.
The only exceptions were electric gardening equipment (for obvious reasons!) and anything in glass jars or gas cylinders.
All types of hand tools for any trade were welcome in any condition, so long as they are complete - TWAM can service / sharpen them before sending them out. Portable Sewing Machines / Knitting Machines - if complete were also welcome.
Educational text books were also welcome.
We are looking to arrange another event for TWAM later in the year - so watch this space!
