What a great day to do Walk 4 Water - cold, but dry, and a Solar Eclipse as well!
Sadly the cloud kept the spectacle of the eclipse away but the children that turned out to walk 4 water today at Kent University Sport certainly shone very brightly at this annual event.
The pictures give you a flavour of the day, including the eclipse with its effect on reflective tops!!
We are very pleased that Hollamby Estates (2005) Ltd have kindly agreed to become Main Sponsor and underwrite the setup costs of the event to ensure that all monies raised go to the project in Malawi we are supporting this year.
With the additional on going support of Kent Sport, Canterbury Business Equipment in Whitstable and McDonalds in Chestfield and Canterbury its going to be another great year.
We would also like to thank those fellow Rotarians from Forest of Blean who came along and helped marshal the event.
Our twin club Apeldorn et Loo in Holland also held a walk today with an additional 1000 children taking part.
Having raised over £3500 for Walk 4 Water 2015 we presented schools and sponsors with certificates acknowledging their support and also presented each of the schools Picture Dictionaries for use at school in class or school libraries.
