Christmas Collections

Rotary Club of Chestfield members invited Father Christmas to help them collect food and clothing from Chestfield residents to be distributed to local Whitstable people in need of some extra help over Christmas and to Porchlight / Catching Lives in Canterbury to help provide new / additional warm clothing to those who find themselves without a home over Christmas.

As usual Chestfield residents were very generous and we would like to thank everyone who donated food or clothing.

Some residents donated money and we used it to buy groceries to provide hot drinks for those at Porchlight / Catching Lives.

Additional late deliveries of food parcels and the auction of alcoholic drinks (cannot accept at support centres) meant we also supplied additional food to Food Bank Canterbury (they supply Whitstable, Herne Bay, Canterbury and Villages) with a selection of food as well.
