Rotary Foundation Polio Day

Sat, Oct 24th 2026 at 3:39 pm- Thu, Dec 31st 2026 - 5:39 pm

Polio Day was about raising awareness of Rotary's commitment to ridding the World of Polio

RC of Chestfield held a Polio awareness day at our local B&Q store on Saturday 24th October 2026 which was coupled with a search for new members.

Several members of the Club took turns at the stand which looked great inside the B&Q store which displayed information on Rotary's objective of eradicating the World of Polio, which we are so close to doing.

Members of the public interacted with our members on the subject and some made a donation to the fight.

Some of the public had personal experiece of family members being effected by Polio so it was a topic close to their hearts.

We also managed to find three prospective new members for our Club and we look forward to welcoming them to one of our meetings shortly to introduce them to our Club and Rotary in general.

A big thank you to B&Q as well for allowing us to use their store on the day.
