Chestfield set up their own Club Grant scheme

We needed a simpler more responsive way of supporting our chosen groups following changes to the District Grant scheme that we could not support.

We have been a big supporter, and benefiter, of the District Grant scheme for many years as a way of supporting the causes we believe in and supporting them with additional contributions from the Scheme.

However changes this year to the eligibility for accessing the scheme have meant we could no longer comply in full honesty so we decided to withdraw from the scheme and have set up our own Club Grant scheme for those looking for help to apply to.

It does not increase our funds for these causes but it does mean we can normally make a decision and fund them in around 4 weeks, but still keeping the important checks and balances in place for use of the funds and reporting on that use by those benefiting from our Grants.

We have already made Grants of £3000.00 to applicants and hope to make several more this Rotary year.

If you are a Charity, organisation or group that you think could benefit from our Grant Scheme them please get in touch.

Thank you
