Thursday, 6 August 2026 Breakfast-meeting Apologies- Dave C, David M, Deborah, Lesley, Maggie, Ronan, Sarah. Thank yous- Martin at Herne Bay Rotary thanked Pete for the help at BayFest. Pete managed to pilfer a few Rotary resources for Harbour day.- Victoria at Guardian Angels thanked the club for the speaker fee,- The club received a Silver Partner award in acknowledgement of £4715 donated by the club for Shelterbox provision last year. Grace given by Paul followed by breakfast. Humanitarian- 12/09 9am Whitstable and Tankerton hospital. Need Andrew and David for some heavy work. Elaine will be joining us and counting pots. - Robert will put a sheet in the Events folder. Fundraising- Car Parking next Thursday, shifts covered, Godfrey will send out an email next week.- HarbourDay 15/08 shifts covered.- Car parking 22/08.- Golf day 11/09 team registration is good but need more sponsors £55 a hole and raffle prizes. If you know of any restaurants or places that may donate vouchers that would be good. Social- Presidents party 20/08.- Wine tasting 15/09, Robert will put a sheet in the events folder.- Sue V has spoken to Canterbury Cheesemakers at Lamberhurst Farm. They have proposed a date in October. Will agree a date at Board. 1 AOB- Simon Tillotson is leaving All Saints parish and moving on to Lenham parish.- Pete is going a great job achieving his steps, he is a week ahead of where he needs to be. His weight loss continues, his wedding ring is loser as are his shoes! Raffle won by Paul, a cheeky red. Master at Arms aka Bertie Bassett- Penalties issues for being a ‘fig’ment of your imagination, socks, shorts and crocs, throwing money around, car telling you to concentrate, car parking, being plastered at breakfast time and being the centre of attention.- Godfrey told a joke about a flight from Delhi to NYC.
