The club was delighted to host an evening at the Kelsick Centre where a full house enjoyed a fascinating presentation from President Colin Thomson entitled ‘Titanic – the Unthinkable’. The evening’s proceeds of £575 being donated to the RNLI. Many thanks Colin it was a great evening.
The club also donated £250 to the Tony Hugdell Foundation following ‘Summits Up for Tony’. A couple of members joined 8 year old double amputee Tony on his epic walk up to Orrest Head where he was surprised and congratulated by veteran mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington and Tony’s hero double amputee former Gurkha Hari Budha Magar.
AK enjoys a very varied programme of events and meetings with a social meal together once a month.
