Brinkworth residents win Annual Charity Golf Competition
On 9 June, 104 golfers turned out on a breezy morning at Brinkworth Golf Club to compete in the Annual Charity Golf Day raising money for Prostate Cancer UK. Supported by an extensive raffle that raised £640 and a tasty barbecues, the event raised over £2500 for the Charity. The winning team - who are residents at Brinkworth - were David and Jayne Taylor and Sandi and Rob Christie. Well done indeed.
The raffle had a large selection of wines, spirits and golfing items and was generously supported by Rotary Club members and RWB Traders including "Occasions", Rouse & Son, JGK Butchers (formerly "Crumps") and Marsh Farm Hotel. Other Businesses including Cannon Travle, sponsored the 'Ts' raising another £500.
Thanks to Brinkworth Golf Club for supporting this annual event that has now raised £18,000 for PCUK.
