The weather stayed fine until the last 2 teams were on the approach to the finish and the 110 golfers who played the 18-Hole Texas Scramble competition were unanimous in their praise to the day.

Huge thanks to the Brinkworth Golf Club (Kay) for allowing us to run the event at BGC, to Sue and Megs (whose bacon baps were to die for) and Justin and Mike for preparing the course.

Both the Winning Team and the Runners Up turned out to be from BGC leaving our stalwart supporters The White Hart Hackers to be out of the winners enclosure this year. But there's always next year and we're already planning another event in June 2020.

This report cannot end without recognising the enormous support and commitment from the Rotary Club members and their spice. In particular: Chief Organiser Harry; Raffle Pirates Eleanor and Jan; BBQ King and Queens Tom, Sarah and Jan; Photographer Jane and Scorer, Ian.

Finally thanks to the 18 Sponsors of the individual holes and the 110 players who came to support us. The final figure has yet to be set in ink, but we will be donating a mimimum of £2500 to Prostate Cancer UK. A fantastic achievement and thank you all. The photos will be posted here asap
