This was a night of celebrations and surprises. A good company of Rotarians, partners and friends gathered in the hotel with old friendships renewed and new ones made. The introduction by President Alan was followed by a good meal - and wine, generously provided by our President-Elect Ian (the wine, not the meal!!). Then it was time for the big surprise of the evening when Hayley-Jane Woodall was presented with the Jewels and Certificate proclaiming her the newest holder of a Paul Harris Fellowship for exceptional service to Rotary. A beautiful bouquet from the Club was presented by Alan's wife Rose. The next surprise was for Past-President Tom under whose chairmanship, the Club had been awarded a Certificate of Oustanding Achievement in support of the "End Polio Now" campaign. The certificate was presented to Tom by District Youth Chair Ceri - and, in accepting the award on behalf of the Club, Tom recounted the exceptional efforts of Foundation Chair Colin in driving the Club's activities in this project. The evening continued with some vocal entertainment by Adam Otin which drew some into singalong mode and others to release their energies on the dance floor.
The last (little) surprise is that you will find the annual photograph of the photograper in the gallery.
