DG Jan Harris made her first formal visit to the Club and The Army Engagement Team gave a very professional presentation on the roles of the British Army
DG Jan Harris made her first formal visit to the Club during which she gave us an inspirational talk on her objectives and goals for the coming year. We hope to see Jan again during her year in office.
The Club was also host to The Army Engagement Team that comprised 2 soldiers with front line experience who gave a 40-minute presentation to improve our awareness and understanding of the British Army; the Team also skillfully answered some very penetrating questions. Major Twumasi-Ankrah of the Household Cavalry and Staff Sergeant Ian Brain of the REME were excellent ambassadors for the British Army and clarified many of the myths and half truths that appear in the press and TV.
