The Members in 2024

What our members got up to in 2024

After 30 years of creative writing Karen has brought all her favourite short stories together in two anthologies now selling on Amazon.

Gillian took up knitting after 40+ years to learn something new. Spent 2024 recoding the temperature at noon every day and knitted a blanket to reflect the changes. Challenge for this year, to knit a jumper!

When Graham isn't being a handy man he takes to the wing. This year he has managed some extremely long flights, starting in one country and landing in another.

Despite only learning the flute for a short while Liz has made it to Grade 6 already.

Helen recently returned to Amateur Dramatics after a break of many years taking part in a Murder Mystery play written by fellow Rotarian Karen. As the murder victim, she has decided this was rather more dangerous than she expected and will be avoiding railway stations and bridges for a while !

Helen is an enthusiastic fan of live music, volunteering at The Stables venue, recently being awarded Stablemate of the year' and spending way too much time and money following 80s pop stars!

Having taken up Scottish dancing Nigel thought this year he would splash out on a kilt and all the trimmings. A bit chilly in the winter months though!

Rotary has been a big part of Alison's life for 20 + years! and enjoys a trip to the theatre and exploring a new 'Mocktail' menu!

In Mark's spare time he likes to keep his garden looking good and is his happy place. He has also bought a classic Mercedes which he is working on restoring.

Emma had a very successful stall at MK Pride in the summer selling her range of body positive merchandise.

Stuart got married to the lovely Lucy and the whole club were delighted to share in their wonderful day.
