Update 2024 - this year's Christmas tree is due to be installed outside Sainsburys, Brighouse on Saturday, 7th December. This year our nominated charity is Emma's Mito Mission (please see our separate page for details of the wonderful work this charity does to raise funds to help with research into this awful genetic disease and in supporting families affected).
Our members together with Emma's Mito Mission volunteers will be holding collection days at the store on Saturdays, 14th and 21st December. You can also donate online and purchase a light in memory of loved one at BrighouseTreeOfLight. Also forms are available in the store.

Background
The Tree of Light project has raised more than £35,000 for local causes since its inception in 2003. Each December we erect a Christmas tree outside Sainsburys and invite people to sponsor a light in memory of a loved one. The Tree has become a Brighouse institution. Additional money is raised through collections in Sainsburys. The tree is there until New Year and many subscribers donate year after year.
