June 2024
It was another highly successful 1940s weekend. The weather was good on both Saturday and Sunday and we thoroughly enjoyed welcoming our visitors at the park and ride, many of whom were dressed in 1940s outfits, military and civilian.
The park and ride raised £2,895 which will be shared equally between the 1940s organising committee (Brighouse BID) and our Rotary Club and will be used towards putting on next year's event and for donations to our Club's charities. Thank you to all our visitors for supporting the event and also for donating £180 to our Club for our charities. A special thank you should also be made to WYMS (West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services) who kindly allowed use of their car park free of charge.

We successfully ran the car parking again for the 1940s weekend. The weather was excellent, just what was needed! The vintage buses transported visitors to and from the town centre. The Park and Ride raised £2,800 towards the event and for charities.
5th June 2022Today we completed the second of the days working on the car park for the 1940s weekend. Looks like the weather today put people off as it was forecast rain (that came!)
Saturday was such a better day and the car parking was full by 12:30
21st Feb 2022
After two years of cancellations due to Covid restrictions we have been asked to setup the car park again this year. Feasiblity with the car park owners is taking place before we have a discussion of whether we can do it.
