Norland Moor Walk and the Sportsman Inn, Greetland - 11th September 2014
We were fortunate to have much better weather for the walk this year, in fact it was it was a lovely early evening, quite warm and with some sunshine. There were 7 of us gathered at the car park at Norland hamlet (plus Christine and Paul's dog, forgot his/her name but I know it was Welsh sounding!). We set off around 6.45pm and enjoyed both the company and the circular route of the moor with some fine views all around.
Arriving just a little later that expected at the Sportsman Inn (say 10 minutes), we were a little surprised to find the 10 other members of our group (who hadn't done the walk) were more hungry then we were! Meals were soon dispatched and the Sportsman were on form again with a splendid fare, even extending the meal deal option for our benefit. And the beer was good too!
Altogether a very relaxed and enjoyable evening and well worth considering something similar again for next year.
