Shelterbox - in support of Nepal. Donation link.

Rotary Club of Stamford St Martins is supporting ShelterBox's Nepal & Tibet disaster response (August 2026.)

Devastating flash floods have struck northern Nepal, near the Tibet border, destroying homes, roads and bridges and leaving many thousands of people without shelter. We are proud to support ShelterBox's emergency response to this crisis.

Please consider donating to help provide life-saving aid to families who have lost everything.

Donate here: https://shelterbox.org/where-we-work/nepal-flash-floods/

Your donation will be used to provide life-saving support for people affected by the flash floods in Nepal. If donations exceed the amount needed for our Nepal appeal, your help will provide emergency shelter and other essential aid items wherever the need is greatest.

In August 2025 we had a stall at the Stamford Friday market to promote awareness of the charity Shelterbox and were extremely pleased to raise £486.

This was a fantastic joint project between the Rotary Club of Stamford St Martin's and the Rotary Club of Stamford and we couldn't have been more grateful for our community's generosity.

Shelterbox kits include:

• Emergency tents for temporary shelter
• Clean water purification kits
• Tools and materials to help rebuild homes

Every pound raised goes directly to helping families in crisis get back on their feet when they need it most.

We were also interviewed on local radio to spread the word about this vital cause and send a huge thank you to everyone who stopped, donated and supported this importation work. Together we're making a real difference.

As of July 2026 we will be donating toward another Shelterbox, in the wake of the Venezuelan earthquake, to ensure these boxes are in position to support people across the world for future such natural disasters.
