Prostate cancer testing day

Stewart Hird visited us to talk about the Stamford Prostate Cancer Support Group and the Testing Day, which was held on 19 Sept. 2026.
We had a very successful testing day, details below:
Thanks to everyone who supported and attended the Prostate Cancer Screening Event last weekend at the Danish Invader. A great team and volunteering effort!
A very successful PSA Testing Event today where we screened 96 men in around 4 hours thanks to the super-fast and efficient phlebotomists, Sofie and Gaby from GFCT PSA Testing, who volunteered to carry out the tests at this event.
We are very grateful to all the volunteers from Rotary Club of Stamford St Martin's and our group who helped make this event run like clockwork.
Many thanks also to The Danish Invader Stamford, who allowed us to use their event room, and to Rutland & Stamford Sound and Rutland & Stamford Mercury for publicising and supporting this important public healthcare event.
