A charity we support
The club has supported WAVE Trust in a number of ways since they first came to talk to us several years ago all the way from their office a few hundred yards away.
We have provided Council members to the organisation and promoted the charity with in Rotary - resulting in presentations at conferences and attendance at WAVE events by Rotary GB&I officers.
We have mae donations to support specific initiatives and Christopher did a sponsored Parchute jump as part of their Wings project.
Their ambitious evidenced based programme to make dramatic reductions in the incidence of child maltreatment in the early years is a perfect fit with Rotary International's pursuit of Peace because that maltreatment often leads to violence in later life.

Kids Out Day RIBI event in Chessington
more Club members took pupils from St. Nicholas special school to the event giving them the experience of an enjoyable day out and social activity. The school supports young children with learning difficulties, autism or Down's syndrome.
Croydon Clubs Support MS Society Branch
more In particular we help with transport and here is an example of one of our members driving a mini bus.
Arnhem Comemoration Visit
more Vice President Trevor Morgan laid a wreath on behalf of the Rotary Clubs of Croydon at the Civic Commemoration of WW2 Operation Market Garden in Arnhem and met some of the veterans

Remembrance Sunday - attended by Trevor Morgan
more The Club was represented at the 2011 Remembrance Service in the Fairfield Hall by some Club members and President Trevor - laying a wreath at the Town's cenotaph and attending the Mayor's Remembrance luncheon in the Town Hall.
South Croydon Lights switch on!
more The Club took part in the South Croydon Lights Switch On. Our collectors and the President Trevor as Father Christmas raised substantial funds for the Club's charities. A founding member of the Club, the Deputy Mayor David Fitz, joined the occasion.

Special Care Baby Unit at Mayday receives Rotary donation
more From Jane Hurlock: The proceeds from our Charity lunch held to raise funds for the Special Baby Care Unit at Croydon University hospital have now been handed over. Thanks to your support we were able to present Sister Ooi (right) with a cheque for £1450.
Cassandra Learning Centre - Jennifer McDermott
more Cassandra Learning Centre (CLC) is a charity set up by Jennifer 10 years ago to bring teen domestic abuse to the forefront of public awareness. The Whitgift Club donated £300 to support their annual conference on 25th October 2012 at Westminster hall.
