Bill Fisher Memorial Award Presentation
Award for best MG at Croydon Classic Car Show 2015
The Bill Fisher Memorial Trophy was inaugrated at this year's Croydon Classic Car Show following his untimely passing last year.
Bill's sister said that she thought he would be "tickled pink" to think that he woulds be remembered in this way when she agreed to our Club's Memorial Award proposal on her own and his widow's behalf.
Bill was a longtime MG enthusiast who had exhibited his MG at previous shows and so the award is made to the best MG in the show as judged by our Club President Michael Pereira.
Bill had been President of Croydon South Rotary Club and was part way
through his tenure as Assistant District Governor for the Croydon Area when he died suddenly
last year. He had been a logstanding active Rotarian and a great supporter of his Club's fundraising efforts for vehicles of the Croydon Branch of the MS Society.
The award was presented to Eric Ward's for his 1956 MG A by Club President Michael Pereira.

more Classic car & Family fun day. Sunday 16th June was a Fathers Day, a treat for dads to view classic cars, a fun day for all the family with Bouncy castle, games etc... Visitors enjoyed a stunning collection of classic cars during a spectacular parade.

more The Christmas collection outside the John Lewis department raised £480 on Saturday and £360 on Sunday. This was a really good start. Thanks to all of you who helped in fairly atrocious weather. Special thanks to Liz for all the time she put in.
13th Annual Charity Quiz Night
more The Club's most popular Quiz night at St. Mary's Junior School, Croydon, was well attended and raised a record £2000 and raffled over £1000 worth of prizes. Monies raised will support the Club President's charities and St. Mary's School.

Quiz night 2013
more The Whitgift Club's most popular 14th Annual Quiz Night at St. Mary's Junior School was well attended and raised over £1500. The event was organised jointly by Linda, Tom, June and Vera. Tom's YES/NO session was most enjoyable.
