Classic Car Show Success repeated in 2015
Event report
The sun shone on our efforts agin this year. A larger team of 35 volunteers comprised of Rotarians from, Whitgift, Purley and Jubilee clubs together with family and friends of Whit gift Club enabled us to run the event safely again this year.
There are three sets of pictures available: Show and parade albums on Facebook kindly taken for us by by Keith Selby and a Croydon Advertiser Gallery taken by Ian Stratton.
During the course of the day our MC with his roving mic interviewed all the exhibitors and during the parades Past District Governor Mike Thorn commented on the cars as they came through.
This year in addition to the established bouncy attractions and sponge throwing game we added an introduction to boxing from the New Addingon Boxing Club and a Basket Ball game with a prize draw.
Background music was provided this year by Download2MP3.com courtesey of one of our members and Altlantis provided four sets of excelent live music - they are available for Weddings, parties, Dinner Dances etc.
The BBQ added a popular vegetarian mushroom and Hloumi option to their excellent cheese burgers this year and sold out latter in the afternoon, as did the cake stall.
But the Bar and Ice Cream sales carried on till we closed at 5.00

more Classic car & Family fun day. Sunday 16th June was a Fathers Day, a treat for dads to view classic cars, a fun day for all the family with Bouncy castle, games etc... Visitors enjoyed a stunning collection of classic cars during a spectacular parade.

more The Christmas collection outside the John Lewis department raised £480 on Saturday and £360 on Sunday. This was a really good start. Thanks to all of you who helped in fairly atrocious weather. Special thanks to Liz for all the time she put in.
13th Annual Charity Quiz Night
more The Club's most popular Quiz night at St. Mary's Junior School, Croydon, was well attended and raised a record £2000 and raffled over £1000 worth of prizes. Monies raised will support the Club President's charities and St. Mary's School.

Quiz night 2013
more The Whitgift Club's most popular 14th Annual Quiz Night at St. Mary's Junior School was well attended and raised over £1500. The event was organised jointly by Linda, Tom, June and Vera. Tom's YES/NO session was most enjoyable.
