The club has received National recognition for it's Social Media initiatives and details of the award can be found in the page flagged in the Menu bar.
We have built up the CroydonWhitgift@networkista Twitter account from the Croydon wide project and it is now run by the club. A policy of supporting local community initiatives, tweeting about local Missing People, dropping in International Humanitarian messages and promoting our own activities have led to a steady growth in local followers who are increasingly responsive to the propmotional messages we issue as indicated by target web page hits. As part of this we continue to promote the use of the #Croydon and #Purley tags. At the same time we follow Rotary principals by avoiding party political and religious comment regardless of the temptations on offer.

We also have a club Facebook page where our Twitter activity is echoed albeit in a different format. W e also use that page to share messages from organisations that the Club has taken an interest in.
Some Club members are also on LinkedIn in a peronal capacity and this is used very occasionally to promote messages to the local business community.
We have one member who has joined the Rotary International Social Media Fellowship which keeps us in touch with global developments and Rotary thinking in this area.
