DESERT ISLAND DISTRACTIONS with MARIAN SCOTT

Wed, Jan 3rd 2024 at 7:30 am - 8:30 am

Marian will be magically transported to a Desert Island and from there her story will unfold before our very own eyes....

“DESERT ISLAND DISTRACTIONS”

Imagine that you are stranded alone on a remote desert island with an adequate supply of food/fresh water and the basic necessities for survival (shelter, clothing, etc.).

As distractions/light relief, you have with you one book, one luxury item and the ability to listen to five audio recordings (don’t ask how the latter is possible, just accept that it is!).

Why did you choose your specific distractions and why? What memories do they evoke of your life before your time on the island?

As a special one-off treat, you are allowed to have one person visit you on the island for 24 hours. This person can be living or dead, a person known to you or a total stranger/someone famous.

Who would you choose as your visitor and why?

[NB. The luxury item must be inanimate, and of no use in escaping the island or allowing communication from outside. If you need reading glasses, assume you have a pair with you and thus don’t need to choose this as your luxury item.]
