Carol Singing

We played and sang at virtually every restaurant and pub that was open (about 15 venues). Generally a great reception, people joining in etc... We finished at The Riverside Hotel where we stayed for a drink and had a singalong with the crowd...Fabulous evening all in all, people were very generous, lots of paper money. Total £510. Best yet...beat our target of £430 last year. Money will go to support local Ilkley and Wharfedale Charities.

Special thank you to Glen Berry, our amazing guest fiddle player, made an honorary Rotarian for the night. Highlight venue, definitely The Riverside (home venue for Rotary Club of Ilkley Wharfedale) with hostess Christine, who wouldn’t take money for our drinks, so donating an extra £20 into our collection buckets. Finished the night back at the count at home with mulled wine and mince pies, with more Christmas Carols from Glen’s wonderful fiddle, around the Christmas tree.

A lovely evening, with the generous people of Ilkley at their very best.
