At this week's meeting Jo Belshaw, Operations Manager, at One Can Trust, a Food Bank covering South Bucks gave us information about how many people are needy and helped in our area by the Foodbank.
Currently around 450 people per week are helped with food. We heard where the donations come from, the links with referral partners of One Can Trust, and how to acces a food parcel providing 3 meals a day.
in addition they run also a Community support team, a clothes bank, a cafe and a homework club, all provided by a small staff team and 464 volunteers.
Members from our Rotary Club bring a small contribution to our meeting each week to be donated to those in need locally.
Many thanks to Jo for her presentation and answering the many questions we had.
