ROTARY CLUB DON VISORS FOR LEONARD CHESHIRE
Misbourne Matins Rotary Club teamed up with Chalfont St Peter resident Martin Beard and his engineering business MJ’s Automatic Turned Parts to provide 100 visor type face shields to the Leonard Cheshire home in Gerrards Cross. Martin has employed 3D printers to mass produce the face shields, for which he is pursuing European CE accreditation. He is supplying these free of charge to NHS hospitals and GPs and at cost price to other care providers in the community. With the recent relaxation of the lockdown, he is now selling the shields to commercial businesses (£4 exVAT) to raise money for an NHS cash donation in a totally not for profit venture. This is a thank you for what he describes as the brilliant care he received from the NHS following a serious illness.
Misbourne Matins decided to fund these visors as part of their contribution to Covid19 relief, in addition to their donation of just over £1100 every month to local food banks.
