Besides enjoying a memorable and fun evening of fine dining, guests helped to raise around £20,000 for great charitable causes. This year our two lead charities were Horizon Sports Club who engage disabled young people in sport and physical activity; and Florence Nightingale Hospice who support patients living with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses. Additionally, we are also donating proceeds to a wide range of other Rotary supported charities.
After a reception of bubbly and canapes, the nearly 500 guests left for their first course having no idea where they were going!!! It takes a lot of planning to ensure that the right people are in the right place at the right time. But getting those logistics right resulted in a great culinary evening out for them across nine restaurants - a different restaurant for each course.
It takes around 80 volunteers to make the event the success that it was. A huge thank you goes out to all of them for all that they did on the night. Photos are courtesy of Marlow Camera Club.
