Young Carers Family Day

Sat, Aug 3rd 2024 at 9:00 am - 8:00 pm

Around 185 members of the Young Carers organisation enjoyed a truly special day with a BBQ, tea and coffee, cakes and ice cream plus a full range of crafts, outside games, inflatables and plate smashing.

As always, it was a great, fun-filled occasion and for some it is the only event they go to as a family in the whole year - truly special!

Some of the feedback:

• A lovely afternoon that we have been to for the last 3 years, it’s lovely to see my son meet with other young carers and be able to go off and have fun with them at the family day while we can entertain our other son with lots of other activities to keep him happy. A lovely day that we all really enjoy and look forward to.

• We all enjoyed a great day out, and the weather was brilliant too. My 2 enjoyed themselves very much, and me and their dad enjoyed being big kids too. Getting involved with the activities too. And seeing how caring and loving everyone was with kind hearts was absolutely beautiful.
