Members can be proud of the role our club is playing in helping to transport and treat medical emergencies in Ukraine, on top of our role last winter in sourcing and delivering generators.
The Rotary Clubs of 'Jordans and District' and 'Marlow Thames' have together with District
Grants, personal donations and £4,000 from Charity Aid Foundation raised funds to buy three second-hand ambulances for about £7,000 each and are aiming for a fourth.
We are liasing with the Rotary club of 'Hereford Elgar' who have the necessary contacts to source and export the vehicles which will be used in Eastern Ukraine for injured service personnel or in supporting a children’s hospice. The actual use of the vehicles will be directed by local Rotarians.
