A day out for young carers and their families
What a brilliant day Saturday's event was for the Young Carers families even though the weather was against us. About 75 guests attended and were royally entertained and fed by an enthusiastic band of Rotarians, partners and family. Helping make the event such a success were those who cooked, crafted, made cakes and particularly those who stood outside manning the car park and cooking food on the barbeque in the pouring rain. The children and adults who attended had such a fantastic time, it was wonderful to see such happy smiling faces, particularly when the children were engrossed in crafts and the parents had an opportunity for a quiet cuppa and piece of cake (or two).
