Spade Oak Nature Reserve - follow up visit

Looking for an excuse to get out and about? Need some fresh air and exercise in socially-distanced and outdoor company? Do you like attacking things with axes and machetes? Good news – Marlow Thames Community Therapy Group is here to help you.

We have arranged two clear-up sessions at Spade Oak Nature Reserve, supervised and managed by Chiltern Rangers. They will provide tools, equipment and sympathetic training in clearing undergrowth, bushes and branches around the public footpaths. All you need to bring are work gloves, suitable clothing and footwear. They would normally provide refreshment, but for obvious reasons they can’t do that at the moment, so please bring your own tea/coffee/ biscuits etc.

The sessions are booked for Thurs 8 and Saturday 17 October from 1000 – 1300, You will note the proximity of the Spade Oak pub. After participating you can make your own decision about whether you wish to refresh yourself there at lunchtime: If so you may wish to book a table (01628 520090) or take pot luck.

Meet in the public car park (beyond the pub) in Coldmoorholme Lane, Bourne End SL8 5PS, ready for a 1000 start. If you’d like to come to either or both sessions please let Richard Gyselynck know so that he can juggle numbers if necessary.
