Presidents Handover Evening

Fri, Jul 12th 2019 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

at Temple Golf Club

The 2019 President's Handover evening was yet again an excellent event - following an enjoyable golf match played in the afternoon by five golfing stalwarts.  The course was in great condition as were the players !!!

Temple Golf Club provided top class food and service - and arranged fantastic weather for those attending.

Outgoing President Dermot Kelly highlighted his year with great aplomb and - boy - did we do a lot as a club. He chose two people as equal and deserving winners of the 'Rotarian of the Year' award - Ann Holden for her excellent work on Community and Nicole Hockly for pushing the Membership Agenda so hard. Clearly the decision was very popular with the members attending.

Dermot then handed over to new President Peter Reynolds - who will enjoy the role for a second time. Peter reminisced on his first time almost 20 years ago! Peter finished the formal proceedings of the evening by handing the Vice President chain to Nicole Hockly.

So a great evening which included a humorous entertainment celebrating the Irish heritage of our outgoing President. The photographic content of which is currently with the British Board of Film Censors.
