Lydia Martin Regional Fund Raiser of “Dogs for Good"

I've worked as a community fundraiser for this amazing charity since 2002 so have seen it grow and develop its services helping so many more people. I am deeply passionate about the work Dogs for Good does and enjoy the interaction community fundraising involves. Since 1988, Dogs for Good has been making life-changing differences for people with disabilities. The charity supports people with complex needs including physical disabilities, autism, dementia and learning disabilities enabling them to lead more independent lives through the help of trained dogs, including assistance dogs and community dogs using animal assisted intervention techniques. The charity’s Family Dog service offers training, guidance and ongoing support to parents of children on the autism spectrum, enabling the whole family to benefit from the unique support a well-trained dog can bring. Whenever I see the difference our amazing dogs can make to the lives of someone living with disability or autism, I’m always blown away and makes me say “that’s the reason why I do this job.” I feel so privileged to be part of this wonderful charity.
