On 1st July the members of the Rotary Club met together to celebrate the close of the Rotary year 2022-2023 and say thank you to their Past President Richard Lindo and welcome their new President Kevin Baylis.
There were a few speeches and the handing over of Club jewels from Richard to Kevin and the welcoming of the new President Elect Janet Wicks who will follow Kevin in as President in 2024.
We then got down to the serious business of celebrating, something Rotarians know how to do. During the year we have raised money for local charities Alexander Devine and Debra at our annual New Years Day Walk at Wellington College, and Sebastian’s Action Trust during a Quiz Night. For more information on these charities please see the Recent Successes and Donations pages on the web site.
We also raised money at our annual 9-Lessons and Carols service held in the Chapel at Wellington College which went to Rotary Kyiv to help them with the shelters they have set up to help internally displaced people that have stayed in the Ukraine but have lost their homes during the conflict. Other charities and organisations both at home and overseas have been supported by our range of fundraising activities.
If this is something you think you might like to be involved with, please get in touch sing the "Contact" tab on our website..
