Autumn Beer Festival

Our Autumn Beer Festival held over the weekend of 12th to 14th September 2025 was a great success. Twenty beers from around the country were on offer together with four real ciders.

The event was held over the weekend of 12th to 14th September in Beverley Masonic Hall raising funds for our local good causes.  The Hull & East Yorkshire branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) were very supported with technical assistance and the loan of a bar and dispensing equipment.

The festival opened at 4pm on the Friday with a queue of drikers eager to sample our range of twenty real ales from around the UK in a variety of styles from Bitters, hoppy IPAs and Golden ales through to dark beers, Milds, Porters and Stouts. There was even a cask German style lager. Four real ciders were on also on offer, proving very popular.

Throughout the weekend local ukulele musicians played, with merry drinkers singing along to well known tunes, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Our District Governor Anne Sutcliffe also attended and worked a full session serving behind the bar, evidently enjoying herself, bringing back memories of a past life!

We must thank the local businesses who sponsored individual beers and the programme and the support of the Masonic Lodge, all contributing to a significant profit for the event. It was just reward after months of planning by our team of Rotarians and friends and a hectic week preparing and manning the festival. As well as sampling the beers!
