The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury Darwin Celebrates 30th Anniversary
On Saturday, 1st February 2025, the Rotary Club of Shrewsbury Darwin marked a significant milestone—its 30th anniversary. The Charter Night celebration was a resounding success, with a strong turnout of members and guests.
During the event, certificates were presented to Founder members in attendance: Shelia Allum, Martin Lunt, Jez Taylor, Mu Woods, and Maralyn Long. Special recognition will also be given to Founder members Phil Freeman and Val Povall, who were unable to attend. Their certificates will be presented at the next available opportunity.
The club also celebrated Rotarian Graham Burns, who was honoured with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the club and its mission.
The evening was further enlivened by a captivating magic show performed by Rotarian Gareth Jenkins, adding a touch of wonder and entertainment to the celebrations.
