A visit from District Governor, Richard Burnett

We look forward to welcoming the District Governor, Richard Burnett, and Club President Aimee will arrange a dinner to follow.

Richard says:

I look forward to serving our District as District Governor for the Rotary year of 2025-2026 and although there is no longer an official theme for the year from Rotary International, the message is that Rotarians should ‘UNITE FOR GOOD’ which is what we all do, all the time, without realising it.

Rotary is an amazing organisation, which makes a difference to so many peoples lives, whether education, health, water and sanitation, peace or environmental initiatives, not to mention always working to help our local communities at the same time.

I believe that an individual with a passion for what they believe in, can achieve their goals – just like Paul Harris did when he started Rotary all those years ago.

For anyone who is not a Rotarian that is reading this page of our district website, you can contact me directly to be enthused about the wonderful opportunities that can open up when you join Rotary.

I joined Rotary to give back to the wonderful organisation that gave me an opportunity to take part in a sail training ship experience when I was a young tearaway teenager – and that opportunity changed my direction in life.
