ROTARY HELPS OUT WITH THE IRON KIDS

Bolton Daybreak members joined Rotarians from fifteen other clubs in the region to marshal the Iron Kids event in Bolton this afternoon. About 3,000 young athletes aged from three to sixteen years old ran around Bolton town centre, finishing on Victoria Square. They were cheered home by the Mayor of Bolton and received medals from a Rotary squad located at the finishing line. Other Rotarians enthused the children at the start line and helped protect the runners at the various course crossings.
In the photos you can perhaps glimpse Christopher Hill managing the children at the start line, spot the Mayor with Bolton Council Leader Cllr Martyn Cox, and see Rotary District Governor Eric Russell with others at the finishing line.
A great event enjoyed by all. Well done all the volunteers.
