Rotary were out in force in Bolton on 14th July, to help the community at the world's largest Ironkids race. From manning the on the day help desk, to packing the registration envelopes, coping with the bizarre file by email address system, manning crossing points and helping out in the start pens.
As ever, it was a multiclub effort, with volunteers also coming from Middleton, plus some Rotarians volunteered directly with Ironman.
Thank you from Abi, Ironkids Race Director
A big massive huge THANK YOU to you and the rest of the Rotary Team for being amazing, yet again. Your help makes such a pivotal difference to IRONKIDS Registration and Race Day itself. Especially THANK YOU for being so flexible and helping wherever you can at last minute. I am very grateful to you as Race Director for IRONKIDS – but also I personally really enjoy working with you all year on year. Our annual catch-ups over envelope packing are great!!! I really hope to work with you all again in the future.

We are delighted to report that in 1923/24 we made donations totalling nearly £4,000 to support a range of local and international charities. We thank all those who helped us raise this money.
moreToday, we welcome our new club president, Ray Jefferson. Ray was the club’s first president way back in 1992/3 and it is good that he has returned to this position to guide the club through the next twelve months.
