Handover 2026

Handover from President Bob Gray to our new President, Frank Muirden

As we enter July, we enter the new Rotary year. This means a handover of the chain of office from outgoing president Bob Gray to our new President Frank Muirden. We had our handover meeting to celebrate our new President witnessed by local Assistant Governor Neil Ferguson.

Bob presented a number of prizes to mark the end of the Rotary year. He presented the Sextant Prize for the most travelled Rotarian to Brian Johnston and VP Eddie Anderson for their incredible cycling trip to Cambodia and Vietnam raising fund for LendWithCare. Bob presented the Percival Quaich to Secretary Simon Richards for all his work for the club. Bob finally presented an inscribed quaich to Rotarian Bob Thomson to thank him for all his work for the club as he relocates to Edinburgh. Bob then officially transferred the chain of office to Frank who became our new President for 26/27.

Frank then presented the chain of office to our new Vice President Eddie Anderson. Frank spoke about his focus for this year involving increasing engagement and membership of the club
