This week (26th May) RCPK and our good friend John Hunter Barrie were able to visit Alzheimer Scotland to hand over £3000 raised at our President's Dinner to this very worthy charity and find out more about what they do. President Bob Gray nominated AS for support from his dinner this year and also presented the "Oor Floorie" figure he bought at the auction held at the dinner to AS to display in their offices. . The figure was painted by John Hunter Barrie who was a previous illustrator for DC Thomson. The figure is designed by John around forget-me-nots, the emblem of Alzheimer Scotland.
Above are President Bob presenting the cheque to Paula Easton from AS. Paula, Bob and John with the "Oor Floorie" figure and them all with members of RCPK who were on the visit.
