Our latest public access defibrillator installed in Washington

Our latest community defibrillator located in Albany

The community of Albany now has a public access defibrillator. Located outside The Stella public house, this potentially life-saving equipment is available 24 hours a day for use prior to the arrival of an ambulance in the event of someone experiencing a suspected cardiac arrest.

Our thanks go to Frank Reay at 'The Stella' for hosting the equipment; to the councillors of the Washington West Ward and the Washington Area Committee for their interest in this project and for funding support; and to Gentoo for installing the three defibrillator cabinets for us in Albany, Blackfell, and Donwell. We are now working with local councillors across the rest of Washington to identify locations for further community public access defibrillators and to secure the funding required
