Swimathon 2018 - Presentations

Fri, Oct 19th 2018 at 9:15 pm - 10:15 pm

Cheque presentations made during our annual Race Night

In July we held our annual Swimathon at the Washington Leisure Centre with our main charitable cause this year being the Sunderland Autism Outreach Team who are based at the Columbia Grange School in Washington.

At the Nissan Sports & Leisure Complex this evening we were delighted to handover donations to the AOT and some of the other groups involved. Rotary North East District Governor Stewart Atkin made the presentations on behalf of Washington Forge Rotary to the Outreach Team, the 1st Washington Scouts, The Rainbow Youth Theatre, Type 1 Kidz, Fatfield Musical Stage Society, the British Scoliosis Research Foundation, and St Andrew's Church.

Funds raised will also allow the club to support other good causes throughout the coming year.

Thank you so much to everyone who took part this year and secured such an amazing level of sponsorship. #betheinspiration
