Competitors faced a 'Run - Bike - Run' Challenge'

Volunteers from the Washington & Washington Forge Rotary Clubs were out and about early this morning to act as route marshals for the Washington Duathlon. Organised by 'Get Set North Events', competitors entered either the 'Novice' or 'Sprint' categories and faced a run on a course around Princess Anne Park, a bike ride on a circuit around Washington, and a final run in the park, all controlled from the Race HQ at the Washington Leisure Centre.

Great efforts by all who took part in the race and well done to the dedicated organisers.
