Partners/guests meeting. Our guest speakers were Rotarians Jim Greensmith and Laurie Turner on the Rotary Club of Durham 'Nepal Global Grant' Project.
The Rotary Club of Durham has embarked on a humanitarian project to improve the provision of water and sanitation in the rural village of Danda Kharka in Nepal. Working with the Rotary Club of Kathmandu MidTown, it is hoped to secure a Rotary Foundation Global Grant to realsie this major project. The Rotary Clob of washington Forge has supported this intiative and Rotarians Jim Greensmith and Laurie Turner of the Durham Club visited our meeting this evening to tell us more about the scheme.
