Thomas tells us about his sponsored climb of Mt Kilimanjaro in aid of the Meningitis Trust
This evening, Tom Parker from Washington visited the Club to talk to members and guests about his trek up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. This climb of 5895 metres was to support the work of the Meningitis Trust and the Rotary Club of Washington Forge had contributed towards his sponsorship. This had clearly been a wonderful experience and a great personal achievement for Tom who is studying at The University of Nottingham.
