Elaine McMahon of Brit Valley Rotary, who led this project, was proud to host one of the first rounds of the Young Photographer competition in partnership with students from Beaminster School. The event brought together an impressive selection of creative and thoughtful photographic work, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of the young participants.
The judging panel—Neil Barnes, who runs a well-established gallery in Bridport and brings 45 years of professional experience, and Garry Hayball, a highly regarded nature photographer with many years of expertise—took great care in reviewing each entry. After thoughtful deliberation and lively discussion, they finally arrived at the results listed, praising the high standard of work submitted by all the students.
