Almost 200 runners took part in the Half Marathon and the 10K runs. The Weather suited the runners more than the marshals!

We came second, and Casterbridge were next to last. However, it was a very enjoyable evening and we excelled at lively fellowship. We were royally entertained, served good food and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Youth Speaks District Semi Final at Beaminster School

Teams from local schools competed in a debating style speaking competition each school providing a chairman to introduce the speaker, the speaker and a deliverer of the vote of thanks.

The District Quiz at The Bell Inn Frome

Eighteen Teams took part and we finished a creditable sixth. Creditable until you note that KBJ's Team beat us by three points. Not that he gloated - not much - he pushed his way across a crowded pub to commiserate with us. We didn't even win the Raffle.

Indoor Sports Evening at Drimpton

Three teams from Lyme Regis Rotary Club and nine from Brit Valley met for the Annual Indoor Sports Challenge, a Trophy presented by Lyme Regis some years ago. Yet again Lyme Regis won. Mark Tredwin's Motorheads beat Charles Gaskill's Lost Souls by 1 point

We are helping Father Christmas as he calls round to visit children; he needs to know where they are and check what presents they would like. It is also a good opportunity to collect money for local good causes supported by Brit Valley Rotary Club
