“Brings out the best in people,” September 2025
At a joint meeting of the two Rotary clubs on September 24th, the four students from Beaminster School and The Sir John Colfox Academy gave a glowing report of their experiences.
Despite having attended during different weeks, their presentation was unified, comprehensive, and clearly well-rehearsed. Much mention was made of the various exercises that were encountered, as well as the time spent in reflection following each event.
Appreciation was expressed for the professionalism of the instructors at Storey Arms as well as the opportunity to make many new friends.
Asked if they would support proposals to sponsor students again next year, the response was a resounding 100% yes!
Following the presentation, a vote of thanks was proposed by Rtn. Clive Bath, who congratulated the four speakers for a convincing account of time well spent.
