Presentation by RYLA Students Wed 25th Sept 2024

Brit Valley and Bridport Rotary Club members were privileged to learn firsthand the experiences of students from Beaminster School and The Sir John Colfox Academy.

Frank Harding, Zak Zidiary, and Summer Parsons spoke fluently and with passion about the week they spent in the Brecon Beacons.

Their brief beforehand was to convince the members of our two clubs to “sponsor again” for next year. Well, they certainly did that!

Some of their comments included:

“I was nervous at the start but that soon changed – we were all in the same boat, literally”.

“A week without WI-FI? – Actually, we were so busy it didn’t matter. And now I only look at my phone a couple of times a day.”

“I wasn’t sure about my career direction but NOW I AM!”
