BRIT VALLEY ROTARY – SMALL CLUB, BIG ACHIEVEMENT!

A VERY PROUD MOMENT FOR BRIT VALLEY ROTARY!

We are absolutely delighted and incredibly proud to announce that Brit Valley Rotary Club has been awarded Rotary International’s Club Excellence Award, formerly known as the Rotary Citation — the highest annual recognition Rotary International gives to a Rotary Club.

The award was presented tonight at a special presentation at the Melplash Show by our District Governor, Mike Kew.

Mike is also staying on at the show during the day to support Brit Valley Rotary and help us promote Rotary, our club and the work we do both locally and internationally.

The award was received by our President, Adrian Scadding, who is proudly serving his second year as President.

This achievement recognises the tremendous amount of work carried out by our members and supporters over the past Rotary year, including:

International projects, including our cataract surgery initiative

Community fundraising and local projects

Youth programmes, including RYLA, Young Photographer and mock interviews

Promoting Rotary through our website, newsletters, social media and events

Supporting Rotary’s wider charitable work

Strong leadership, teamwork and club development

The presentation was attended by members of Brit Valley Rotary and many of our friends and supporters, all of whom deserve our heartfelt thanks.

As President, I am extremely proud to accept this award on behalf of Brit Valley Rotary Club. It really does show that even one of the smaller clubs in the district can achieve great things when everyone works together.

A huge thank you to every member, friend, supporter and volunteer who has helped make this possible.

And a special thank you to District Governor Mike Kew for taking the time to present the award and for supporting us at the Melplash Show.

Brit Valley Rotary may be small… but together we certainly make a BIG difference!
